You wanted to give a PowerPoint presentation to your class and the projector light bulb burns out. You cannot get another light bulb in time. What can you do so that you can still give your presentation?
  • Pre-printed material
    • Divided into groups to have them go over the content, maybe give a group presentation
    • Still give presentation with each student having the slide-handouts
    • Email presentation out ahead of time
    • Print the slides to overhead slides, manipulate and present with these
  • Few computers
    • Have the groups review the Power Point at different computer stations, do a group review to check for understanding
  • Alternative lesson plan using available resources
    • Group work
    • Book work
    • Discussion
    • Change topics (within reason) to open yourself up to a new, modified lesson
    • If a Library is available...use that for independent study or an independent WebQuest
